When you book our services we will collect the personal data set out on the booking or registration form as the case may be. This data will always include your name, email and address; it may also include a telephone number and your age.

All personal data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate. You must not register under someone else’s name.

We process your personal data on the basis of consent. Accordingly, you consent to the provisions of this section when you agree to the terms of this policy.

If you have agreed to receive marketing communications from us, we will use your personal data to send you such communications which may include information about future events. You can choose to no longer receive marketing emails from us contacting us at info@beeatpeace.org or clicking unsubscribe from a marketing email. We shall therefore retain your personal data in our records until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us.

We do not share personal data with third parties, except (a) to respond to legal requirements (including under the Data Protection Act 1998 and from 28 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/697) or protect a third party’s rights, property, or safety; (b) to our associated companies who may be working with us to provide an event; (c) to accommodation and transport providers for an event and accordingly you agree that such third parties will process your personal data in accordance with their own privacy policy; (d) to any service providers, sub-contractors and agents that we may appoint to process your data and perform functions on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, payment providers, IT service providers, accountants, auditors and lawyers; and (e) in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company.

Information about your device and use of our website

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

When you use our website, we, or third parties on our behalf, automatically collect and store information about your device and your activities. This information could include (a) your computer or other device’s unique ID number; (b) your mobile device’s geographic location; (c) your IP address; (d) technical information about your device such as type of device, web browser or operating system; (d) your preferences and settings such as time zone and language; (e) how long you used the website and which services and features you used. We will use this information on an anonymous basis to improve our website.

We also use a cookie from Stripe to facilitate payment on our website.
